About me
Formerly known as Clarence the Kid, hip hop up-and-comer Jasper Ross is a multidisciplinary creative who’s passion for the craft shows in every aspect of his artistry.
Having only been in the game for a short while, the twenty-something lyricist has already accomplished an impressive rap sheet — opening for acts such as 24kGoldn, YBN Nahmir, Brent Faiyaz, IDK, and D Smoke; collaborating on tracks with Nina Ann of Citizen Queen, Kosha Dillz, and fellow collective members Jamel & Kabwasa; and even spending some time working in A&R and managerial positions at Interscope Records and Top Dawg Entertainment respectively.
His most recent release, “sometimes … idk” is a collaborative effort between Jasper and his former self — an amalgamation of digital production, live instrumentation, introspective songwriting, and an ode to a new chapter of musicality.
"We are always here for new artists fearlessly directing and producing their own efforts, and the quality of Jasper Ross’ "sometimes" is brilliantly put on display by himself and his collaborators in their tribute to antisocial feelings and the very real consequences of them. Taking a very interesting parallel narrative, with clips worthy of a thriller, you won't be disappointed by checking out this new talent."
"As sharp as the bars he pens, the rapper prides his attention to detail and approach to his work. Setting pace to a discography that offers a unique polarity, he carves his space in the extensive genre of Hip-Hop."
